Here's a link to an online service manual: Online service manual, piston grade If you go back to page 58 and 59, you'll see the installation process and front mark location. There is no difference between driver or passenger side piston/rod assemblies. Since this is as you say a "cheap rebuild," it should be ok to put the #2 NA pistons in the #2 graded TT block. At the very least, I would measure the pistons and bores to verify piston to bore clearance. If you use a TT block, you'll need to use a TT oil filter tree with cooler outlet and TT oil pump for proper oil pressure control. Or, remove the two plugs in the TT block's oil filter tree mount boss and replace with NA check valves to use a NA filter tree and NA oil pump. Each oil system is unique to the engine type and you don't want to mix and match components without considering how or if they will work together.
